Marvel Promotion...

Tuesday September 26th 2017  |  Place Bell & Downtown Montreal

In order to properly promote the upcoming Marvel show, Spiderman did a quick shoot at Place Bell, and scaled down the Industrielle Alliance Building in downtown Montreal, to raise funds for Société des enfants handicapés du Québec. Among those participating were gold medal-winning Olympians Bruny Surin and Alexandre Bilodeau and, of course, Spiderman!

Cirque du Soleil, OVO...

Le tout premier spectacle présenté a la nouvelle amphithéâtre de Laval, es nul autre que le Cirque du Soleil, OVO!  Cette représentation coloré et de haute voltige a su plaire au publique, jeunes et moins jeunes.

Le Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec est une épreuve inscrite au calendrier de l'UCI WorldTour assurant ainsi, par ce prestigieux label, la participation des 18 Word Teams composées des plus grands coureurs de la planète. Ce spectacle sportif du plus haut niveau se déroule en plein cœur de la Vieille Capitale.

Envolée en Montgolfiere avec Jacob Benjamin...

C'est l'histoire de Jacob Benjamin, ce jeune homme que nous avons rencontré la toute premiere fois dans le cadre du festival de Montgolfières, en 2006, lorsque qu'il n'avais que 15ans et travaillais comme aide-équipier pour le pilote Martin Unsworth.

Aujourd'hui Jacob a 21ans, et es l'un des plus jeune pilote au pays, en plus d’être récemment devenu propriétaire de sa propre Montgolfière.  Il a, en très peu de temps compilé plus de 35 heures de vol, et démontre déjà un sens technique et de sécurité très développé.  On lui souhaite une belle carrière, et vous encourage de le contacter une fois ces 50 heures de vol obligatoire accomplie, pour vos propres envolées!  Ce fut un énorme plaisir de ce faire dispo pour te capter quelques clichés.

The CF Fairview Pointe Claire parking lot was, once again, transformed into a virtual hall under the stars, where over 200 tables were set under enormous tents to welcome you to an amazing and memorable evening for a great cause.

The 13th Annual Strangers in the Night, a unique charity gourmet gala, benefiting the Miriam Foundation, The West Island Woman's Shelter, and Cure SMA, had no other than Styx (with Lawrence Gowan) as the evenings entertainment, as more than 5,000 people gathered to see the concert.

KTM / Husqvarna - Facility Launch...

Only a few short months after taking possession of their newly built facility in chambly, the KTM / Husqvarna Motorcycle group gathered dealers, friends & family in order to have an official launch party.

Higher management gave a speech on the company's vision and growth since they entered the North-American market and the mayor spoke a few words about how thrilled he was the group chose Chambly as its place to call home.  

The day proceeded with the official cutting of the ribbon, and then visits of the facility, from the Entrance Show Room, Training Center, Race Department, Offices and Conference Room.  People were then invited to a get-together outdoors, where catering and a DJ treated the invites to great food & lively tunes.

Guns 'N Roses...

August 19th 2018  |  Jean-Drapeau Parc (Montreal)

Parc Jean-Drapeau was once again jammed packed with fans, this time, to witness a live representation of Guns 'N Roses, for which many have been loyal followers for decades.

We had the opportunity and pleasure of staying for the entire show.  An awesome & timeless act.

In a close to sell-out crowd, the singer that racked up over 20 country billboard number 1 hits since 2001, was the first to admit that he was happy to "finally" made it to Montreal to treat his fans to a live show.

IleSoniq 2017...

Le 11-12 Aout 2017  |  Ile Notre-Dame (Montréal)

Notre mandat pour IleSoniq 2017 étais de couvrir la scène principale, l'Oasis, commandité par Fido.  Un total de 18 DJ (9 par jour) on sus faire bouger des dizaines de milliers de festivaliers. 

Un seule DJ n'a pas accepté d'avoir notre présence sur la scene derrière lui, mais l'artist suivant (Tiesto) a plus que satisfait notre soif de capter quelques images a proximité.  Un vrai chix type!

Osheaga 2017...

Vendredi le 4 au Dimanche 6 Aout 2017  |  Ile Notre-Dame

Malgré quelques moments de furies de la part de mere nature, Osheaga 2017 fut un grand succès.  Pas moin de 135,000 festivaliers réparties sur les 3 jours, ce sont réunis sur le nouveau site, afin de voir et d'entendre Live, quelques uns de leurs artistes préférés.  Une 12eme édition fort bien accomplie!

Pour nous, Osheaga 2017 ce résume a avoir couvert 36 bands sur les 2 Main Stage (Scene de la Rivière & Scene de la Montagne), pris 8,600+ photos, marché pas moin de 48,000 pas (37km), et d'avoir eu l'immense plaisir de découvrir quelques artistes qu'il nous étais inconnus.

C'est Samedi le 29 Juillet 2017, qu'a eu lieux la toute première course du Grand Prix de la formule électrique ePrix de Montreal, apres que le maire ai confirmé qu'une entente avais été prise pour 6ans de compétition en circuit fermé dans notre grande métropole.

Queen w/ Adam Lambert...

We had such an amazing time shooting this gig.  Although we were only present for the first 3 songs, and that a security agent's head was in our way most of the time, it was a fun concert to shoot.

Let's face it, Adam Lambert is an incredible showman, and could do no wrong, especially when coupled with original members, Brian May & Roger Taylor.  

Freddie Mercury is probably grinning right now, at how well his legacy continues to be honored in such a fantastic way.

Mariage de Mathieu & Valérie...

Leurs histoire est digne d'un conte de fée.  Et quoi de plus magique que de pouvoir se marier a l'endroit ou ils se sont rencontrés la toute première fois?!

Une superbe soirée ou les invités nous on donné amplement de matériel a photographier. ;)

A part ce petit "teaser" on va laisser les nouveaux mariés choisir les images qu'ils voudront bien vous partager.  Longue vie a votre amour les tourtereaux! 

Why shoot RAW...

This post is for up-and-coming photogs that still ask themselves the question...

You've probably heard it over & over again, that most Pros suggest you shoot RAW files...   But do you know why it’s so important? And what it really means for your images? Let’s sort it out!

First off, what is RAW?
RAW is a file format that captures all image data recorded by the sensor when you take a photo. When shooting in a format like JPEG image information is compressed and lots of that information is lost. Because no information is compressed with RAW you’re able to "tweek/correct" poorly exposed files in post-production, and ultimately produce a higher quality image, than you would, if tried to correct it from a JPG type file.

Here's a perfect example, of a not-so-perfect image of the father of the bride (and good friend) and I, at a recent wedding in Florida. For whatever reason, this shot was grossly under-exposed. Whether conditions were difficult, the flash batteries were dying, or you're simply having an off day, etc... shit happens! But with the magic of Camera raw and a few post-processing corrections, the photo is still rendered usable.

The downsides of shooting RAW, is yes, the files take up a considerable amount of space, need to be post-processed (longer to edit), but in the end, you'll be much happier with the overall results.
