As 2018 comes to an end, we take a look back, and see what we, at SNAPePHOTO have accomplished during the last 12 months, and look onward as to what we can aspire towards, in terms of goals for the upcoming year.
After bouncing back, and recuperating from a bad physical accident/incident in 2017, we can only be grateful that 2018 has yielded so much in terms of growth, both personally, and business wise. Eternally grateful this year again, for all those that have contributed to our success, both clients and assistants.
1. Projects
A total of 144 different projects were accomplished in the past year. Considerably less that the number in 2017, but the projects were considerably larger, thus the larger overall yearly income. That's the kind of growth we like seeing. We don't need to be doing shoots every single day of the week, as long as we're doing something constructive, and related to our business. We've given ourselves a personal goal of 160 projects for 2019.
2. Blog
Our forth full year of keeping a Blog. It's long, tedious, but well worth the time spent in exposure.
89 new Posts on the SNAPePHOTO Blog! (Down from 108 in 2017). 785,000 pageviews and counting! Here's to hopng we reach the 1 Million mark in 2019!.
More than 295,000 Hits in the last 12 months!! (stable visibility since we had 300,000 hits in 2017). That tells us that were still doing a good job of posting content. However, this year I was delinquent and 5 months worth of projects was posted during a 2-week period in November. That probably didn't help the numbers. A personal goal will be to upload posts within 24 hours of new projects for the year to come.
3. Website
We managed to keep the website up to date, with a good quantity and variety of our projects, modified the visuals, added a photo sharing/proofing option (that our clients seem to LOVE), and finally a shopping cart section, that we promise to garnish with goodies in 2017!
With 341,074 Page Views, 315,628 Visits & 46,419 Unique Visitors to date, we're more than happy!!
4. Gear
2018 has been a slow year gear wise, as we're still waiting on Canon to come out with a new flagship Pro camera body, to replace the 1Dx MKII, that are already 3 years old. Hopefully 2019 is the year we play catch-up, and Canon becomes a key players in the mirrorless game.
5. Clients
And of course, we're keeping the best for last... Our clients! 2018 has brought us a total of 4 new clients, and, a few of them from various sectors of activity. Or regulars are still loyal, and we are doing everything we can to keep it that way. :) We've given ourselves a mandat to grow the number of new clients for 2019, to a minimum of 6.
6. Giving Back
When your business achieves a certain stature, and you consider yourself lucky to be doing what you love, it's time you give back to the society, and throw good karma out there, for all to enjoy. This year, we've pledged to plant 100 trees / month, until we've reach the number of invoices since our incorporation (900+), then continue give the amount needed to plant 1 tree per client invoice.
